Got a call from 01477 67 0088 with a bloke saying something like “this call’s been passed on by BT to cancel your landline and internet”. He then said to press 1 if I wanted to speak to a tech to stop the cancellation or press 2 to go ahead with it. I just put the phone down straight away as I’m not even with BT and haven’t asked for anything to be changed, neither my phone or broadband provider. Feels like a total scam to me. Tried ringing the number back and guess what? It says “number not recognised”. Definitely dodgy!
