I then asked exactly what appliance he meant, and he kept mentioning either a fridge or a washing machine. Since I actually run a laundrette, I pressed him on which appliance it related to, and then he just ended the call. Sounds like a dodgy warranty scam to me.3 yearsI had a rather dodgy recorded message land on my phone, claiming that £500 had been taken from my bank card without my permission. The instructions were rather telling-“If this isn’t you, press 1...” It felt quite suspicious, to say the least!3 yearsI got a message saying £500 had been taken from my debit card, but that’s definitely not right.
