A woman called saying she was from BT but the call suddenly dropped. What gave it away was her saying “good afternoon” when it was only 10 in the morning here.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT and that our internet was going to be cut off because it had been hacked. Didn’t really trust it so I just ended the call straight away. Later on, I phoned BT myself and they confirmed it was definitely a scam.

got a voicemail supposedly from 'british telecom' saying my internet would be cut off in a day! first off, bt rarely uses that name anymore, and secondly, ive been getting these same messages from different numbers all week. my internet’s still working fine, so yeah, pretty sure it’s a dodgy scam. best thing to do is just ignore it and don’t answer.
