6 yearsSomebody phoned claiming to be from a finance dept offering a PPI refund of about £2500. I was pretty suspicious straight away. They said they’d post out a cheque in 5 or 6 days but warned there’d be a 55% hit in bank fees. They insisted I could dodge that by taking out some kind of life insurance policy with them to get a reference number for the bank to check. I just told them I’d wait for the cheque and letter and see what happens. Surely the bank wouldn’t charge that much, would they?6 yearsThey rang me up saying I was owed £2500 in PPI, but I’ve never even made a PPI claim before.
