This number has rung me a couple of times, but today I finally picked up. They were asking for a Shaun, which isn’t me, so I told them that. They then quickly said sorry, must be a mistake. I could hear a few people chatting in the background too.

i didnt pick up the phone since i’m based in the US and dont have any mates or family in the UK. kept getting calls one after another from different numbers all showing uk dialling codes. pretty sure its scammers trying their luck.

It seems that this was a call from Cigna. They handle various occupational health matters for employers. So, if you've just filled out a new starter's form disclosing any medical issues, you might receive a call from them, especially if your HR department has referred you to occupational health for any particular reason. Just thought I'd share that in case anyone else is wondering about such calls!
