I received an unexpected call that I didn't pick up, and they didn't bother to leave a message. After doing a bit of digging to see who it was, I found that the number is flagged as risky by a whopping 95 individuals. Quite concerning, really!

I fibbed and told her I wasn’t home. She then asked if I owned the property. I said I didn’t. She then thanked me and hung up. It all seemed pretty fishy to me. Someone called me saying they were from Insulate UK, but when I checked, the only site I found was for a supplier, not some survey group. Plus, on their page, it clearly said they aren't doing any telemarketing or knocking on doors about energy-saving stuff right now. I told the caller that, and they just ended the call straight away.

I noticed on my answerphone that this number, plus another very similar one that changed by just a single digit, had called me. Since neither of them left a proper message or followed the instructions to state who they were and then tap the hash key, my phone never rang. They really need to programme their system to properly introduce themselves and hit #, otherwise I just ignore it. Anyway, both of these numbers have been blocked now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just move on to the next number nearby to carry on trying.

Had a bloke call me late evenin, claiming he was ringing all the way from a call centre over in the Philippines, around 10.54 PM their local time. Could hear a right racket of kids shouting and playing like it was a massive birthday do going on behind him. I reckon he was probably ringing loads of folks about some free insulation deal or something similar. Told him bluntly I don’t want anyone snooping about my loft, nearly joked about a hidden corpse but thought better of it. Fingers crossed chatting to him means I’ll get dropped from whatever list they’re working off.

Yeh got a call from this number and I reckon it's just another scam trying to get your personal details, probably to sell or something dodgy. If you're after tips on insulation or ways to save energy, best ring your local council instead, they usually have good advice.
