I got a call from this number on my cell phone. It rang twice and then cut off. Then, within two minutes, I got two more calls but no one said anything. Is this some kind of scam?

I received a call at 12:15 today, which rang just once before my phone flagged it as likely spam. It cut off after a few rings, and I opted not to return the call.

Since mid April, ive had loads of calls from numbers all ending in 7, 17 or 117 but with different beginnings each time. They ring just a handful of times, usually only 4 rings, so its pretty tricky to answer. One time when I did pick up, the caller hung up right away. The times I got through they were talking about utility discounts, claiming we signed up online which we definitely didnt. They promised to take us off their calling list but they just keep ringing anyway. The only break was over easter weekend.
