Today, 22/10/20, I got a call from a woman saying there had been a suspicious £650 charge on my Visa card for something bought on Amazon. She mentioned if I wanted to end the call, I could press one to hang up, which I did. But then a man came on the line wanting to ask more questions, so I just put the phone down. This isn’t the first time we’ve had calls like this claiming the same thing. Just to be clear, I’ve never had an Amazon account.

I picked up the phone and there was nothing but silence on the other end.

Got a recorded call, supposedly from Visa, warning me about a £700 charge on an Amazon gift card. When I rang the number they gave back, an operator said the number doesn’t exist. Bit fishy if you ask me.
