i always ignore calls from numbers i dont recognise, i think if its important they’ll leave a voicemail or a message. even then i make sure to verify who it is before calling back. cant be too careful these days, theres always someone trying to dupe you or take advantage. better safe than sorry!

this person called claiming they were from the phone company trying to sell me cheaper bills. i told them i’m on the do not call list and asked them not to call again or i’d have to report them. she just yelled “go ahead” a few times and then suddenly asked if i could speak english. i told her even if she called back, i wouldn’t be interested. then she just hung up on me.

Got a call at 6:40 pm on the 6th of March, 2020. They wanted to speak to me by name. I kept asking who they were, but after three tries they just ended the call. The voice sounded like someone from India or Pakistan. Always make sure you ask who’s calling and why before you say your name, just to be safe.

Some bloke phoned up knowing my name and where I live, saying he’d send me a £200 cheque. Then he tried to get my date of birth! Told him to jog on, another one of those dodgy scams like fH###.

Received a call from a chap claiming to be "Richard," who spoke in a rather odd mix of English. He had both my name and my personal mobile number, which raised suspicions. It sounded like a PPI scam attempt, if you ask me!
