I got a call from 01473974300 and it seemed to be a guy named Paul mentioning something about government subsidies for solar panels at home.

It totally came across like some sort of AI or robot trying to talk. Something about government loft spray foam? Just another annoying spam call, really.

He left a message on my voicemail sounding pretty fed up, just saying something like "Guess I reached your answerphone again," without mentioning who he was or why he was calling. Then a bit later he phoned back, actually started by using my first name and said it was Jack calling about... my flat number, but then went quiet, so I ended up putting the phone down.

This number has rung me loads of times, and I just leave most of them unanswered. One time I picked up, and there was this automated voice that sounded quite human. The bloke called himself Jack. I tried to ask him something, but he just kept going with his spiel. When I asked if he was actually a person, he ignored me and kept talking. Apparently, it’s all about energy saving and spray foam stuff. It’s super irritating. Now I just don’t bother picking up, but if I do, I sometimes put the phone near the washing machine while it's on spin cycle just for a laugh.
