some woman rung me claiming she was from the uk power network, said our electrician found a fault and they needed to send someone to inspect water damage on our meter. bit strange cos we never had any visits and everything’s fine with our meter board, no issues at all. definitely didnt happen like she said.

Got a call around 12:15 in the afternoon, totally pointless and really annoying folks. Honestly, they should be stopped from calling at all.

every time you question who they are or what the payoff is, they just cut the call. never took part in any survey or agreed to be contacted. pretty sure it's some kind of scam.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from this company called Beneficial, saying they were doing a marketing survey since I supposedly took one before. I told him I never did any survey and asked where they got my number from, but he just kept saying I had done one. When I asked for their real company name and a UK contact number so I could report them to the ICO, he just cut the call. Definitely sounds like a scam to me!

Oh great, another call from that company Beneficial. They're basically scammers posing as folks doing market research. As far as I'm aware, they operate out of the UK, but their call centres have been moved overseas to the Philippines. That’s probably why you might catch someone with a strange accent ringing you up. Honestly, just hang up straight away and don’t waste your time.

I had no clue what she was on about, couldn’t catch even the name of the company. I never gave them my number or said it was okay to ring me up, so why is this still going on even with GDPR supposed to be a thing now? It makes no sense.
