The service aims to expedite appointments via text invitations, though some find the process confusing or receive unsolicited calls. Our home phone keeps getting calls non stop, even though we’ve got one of those nuisance call blockers on. When we pick up, it’s just dead silence on the other end every time.

This number seems legit to me.

Definitely not a scam, it’s actually from My Health Book. They messaged me because they had to reschedule my second vaccine dose since they’re running low on supplies.

Got a message about a number related to a job. Rang up, hung about on hold, eventually reached the end of the line, but then the phone just kept ringing and nobody answered. Such a waste of time.

Got a call supposedly from my GP Federation about setting up a vaccine - I’m guessing it was for Covid. They already knew my first name and which GP surgery I’m with. Bit annoying since I hadn’t asked for it and I’d already turned down the vaccine anyway.

I tried putting the link into another phone but it just wouldn’t open, so I thought I’d double-check the number first. Still, I took a chance and clicked the SMS link - and it took me to what looked like the official NHS page. Figured it was legit. Anyway, apparently if I can cycle over 30 miles, I’m allowed the jab! My nearest clinic was booked solid until next year though. That’s when I just gave up on it.

From what I’m reading here, seems like it’s about scheduling a COVID jab, but I’m a bit sceptical cause I had mine done more than a fortnight ago. Not really convinced that’s the real reason.

This isn’t some spam call. It’s a private business hired to handle Covid-19 vaccine bookings. Honestly, it’s way simpler to just use the website link they send you, because the hold times if you call that number are ages. For anyone moaning about the NHS admin - these firms aren’t the NHS at all. They’re private companies making profits (paid for by taxpayers, no less) off the government’s health mess. Sorta like that school meal situation, where a private provider priced a meal box at £30, but it actually cost just £5, pocketing the rest as profit. If you’re unhappy with how this private outfit works, your best bet is to raise it with your local MP, especially if it’s Matt Hancock, who represents West Suffolk - where this company operates.

So I ended up booking my Covid jab through my-healthbook.co.uk, which is linked to the NHS. It took me a couple of attempts online since the slots were filling up pretty quickly. Glad I finally got it sorted. Steve Winder

Just put their NHS number into a website and right away it showed us the date and time for the vaccine, same as what happened to us.

I called them myself and managed to book an appointment for tomorrow, so it seems legit 👍

Got a message claiming to be from my doc about sorting a covid jab appointment. Seemed a bit off to me. Plus, I had my first jab at the hospital just yesterday, so if that text is real, the admin team must be totally disorganised!

I tried calling this number to book a covid test and had to hold for about 20 minutes before someone finally answered. They managed to book me in for the following day. I'm in the Mid Suffolk region. Seems legit.

Sounds like a private firm working alongside the NHS. I’ve been trying to get an appointment for three days now and it’s still not working out.

My mum got a message from this number about getting her COVID-19 jab. It’s legit, and I sorted her appointments through their online system. They said letters take too long to arrive, so texting is quicker to get everyone seen fast. The only issue is, I found out our local clinic had to cancel some bookings, and last night this number called my mum twice at half past eleven. I tried calling them back this morning but it’s been really busy and hard to get through.

Today, my mum got a letter telling her to ring a number or visit a website. But when I tried the website, it just showed a 'not found' error, so I couldn't do the booking online. This has me thinking it might be some kind of scam. I checked the NHS site and it says you'll get a letter, text, or email with a 10 digit code to book. The code on the letter mum got is 12 characters long and has letters too, so that seems off.

Today my Dad got a letter about the vaccine and managed to secure a slot through the website. You’ve got to have a 12-digit code to actually make a booking. The site clearly explains: if you’ve got a booking code from a text or letter, then you can book your jab there. When you ring the number, it says you’ve reached the Covid vaccine booking team. The website itself is pretty straightforward - basically just a booking page and a list of NHS groups running the programme. The whole booking code system is way too complicated to be some kind of scam, plus nobody’s asking for money, which is a nice change!

Tried messaging my mother-in-law who’s 83 but the number won’t connect at all, and the link they gave me doesn’t work either. Really frustrating!

This isn’t a scam, more like a complete farce... My GP told me to call this number, but the automated voice says they’re closed, only open between 08:15 and 20:00. It was 09:00 when I tried, so clearly nobody was picking up. Honestly, I’m not sure we should be boasting about the NHS right now - the frontline staff do an amazing job, but the management side is absolutely useless. To put this into perspective, my mum in her eighties got a text about booking a Covid jab, but my dad, who’s in his nineties, still hasn’t, and no matter what I try, I just can’t get an appointment sorted. In tough times, management either steps up or reveals how hopeless they are. Sadly, all these so-called “experts” behind desks at the NHS are more a liability, ironically leaving the hardworking nurses to do the heavy lifting. I’d cheer for the nurses any day, but...

I got a text with the website and domain name included, and honestly it seemed a bit sketchy to me. Just the way both were thrown in the message felt off and not very trustworthy.
