Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank about two charges, one for £300 and another for £1100, and they said to press 1 if I didn’t recognise it. This is already the second time today! The first number was 0033958274414. When will something actually be done about these fake calls and scammers? Older folks must be terrified, pressed 1 without knowing, trying to explain themselves. All the while, these fraudsters rack up huge phone bills for them. Honestly, it’s no wonder some people feel so overwhelmed they think about giving up.
