01473 927232 is definitely a scam number. They had a reverse connection, and it looks like they’ve wiped their files and disconnected the phone line, all courtesy of a dodgy caller.

Pretending to be from Virgin Media's customer support. I expressed my doubts about her sincerity and, rather than clearing things up, she became quite confrontational, demanding to know my reasons for mistrust before abruptly hanging up. Honestly, the way she reacted screamed scam artist to me! 😂

Today, I had a chap ring me up claiming that I could benefit from some “government-sponsored insulation”. What a con! I recognised it immediately, as I had a similar call last year. Seriously, if you get a call like this, just block the number without a second thought. It’s not worth the trouble!

Received a call today from some loft insulation outfit. When I told the chap to stop ringing me, he just started mocking me by going 'la la la' like a child. I've had enough and blocked the number. Might even consider filing a complaint.

This number has persistently rung me without a single voicemail being left. I've had enough, so I’ve decided to block it.

A lady called and mentioned my name directly. When I replied that I wasn't familiar with it, she promptly ended the call.

I received a call from this number but didn’t take it as I’ve got all unknown callers blocked. A previous comment mentioned that it might be redirected from Ireland through Ipswich, so everyone in the Colchester area—especially those in military towns—might want to keep an eye out. Thankfully, my phone has an auto-block feature, which is a real lifesaver. If they were legitimate, they’d surely leave a message. If not, I’ll just report and get rid of them.

Now that the festive season has wrapped up, it seems this lot has resumed their calling spree. We receive phone calls from this number multiple times a week - absolutely infuriating!

As soon as I picked up the phone, the caller immediately disconnected. It raises my suspicions that it could be a scammer or fraudster intent on breaching my phone's security. Why bother making the call only to hang up? Upon investigating, I found out that the number traces back to Ireland, which certainly adds an ominous twist. It’s baffling why they’d go to the trouble of routing the call through a local number only to shirk responsibility by cutting the line.

I've received three calls from this number, but I chose not to pick up after seeing the message about it.

I received a call that seemed to come from a call centre, but nobody on the other end bothered to say a word.

I’ve no clue who that was on the other end. The line simply went silent.

Received a call at twenty past eight this evening and, to be honest, I wasn’t inclined to pick up the phone since I didn’t recognise the number, especially at this hour. I’ve just spotted some concerning feedback about it on this site, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. Better safe than sorry!

I haven't picked up, but they've been ringing me for the past couple of nights, and the phone just keeps on ringing endlessly.

I'm absolutely tired of these incessant sales calls. Isn’t it about time we had the freedom to choose what we engage with, and when we choose to do so?

I received a call without any sound on the other end.

I received a call from a woman of Asian descent regarding a survey, and I politely declined before ending the call. It’s getting quite tiresome, as I'm bombarded with these calls daily from various numbers that are ever so similar, and unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to block them.

I recently had a rather unsettling experience with a woman who had a rather thick Indian accent. It felt intrusive, almost as if she was prying into my personal space. It’s quite disconcerting when a stranger seems to cross those boundaries without so much as a thought for privacy.
