I got a call from 01473 927232, seemed dodgy to me. I ended up tracing the number back, then deleted all their files and blocked the line using Robbo Caller. Total scammer, so glad I caught it early.

That number 01473921902 keeps calling, but it’s not some official or authorised device. I just blocked it straight away.

Someone was pretending to be from Virgin Media support. I told them I wasn’t buying it at all. She got all hostile and defensive, kept asking why I doubted her, then just hung up on me. Seriously, that kinda attitude screams SCAMMER to me, missy. 😂

I received a call from this number but didn’t take it as I’ve got all unknown callers blocked. A previous comment mentioned that it might be redirected from Ireland through Ipswich, so everyone in the Colchester area-especially those in military towns-might want to keep an eye out. Thankfully, my phone has an auto-block feature, which is a real lifesaver. If they were legitimate, they’d surely leave a message. If not, I’ll just report and get rid of them.

Had one of those annoying scam calls again last Saturday. Some scammy loft insulation agent calling, tried to get me involved but luckily I’d read the warnings before so kept quiet. This time it was a lady with a weird accent asking straight for me by name after a long lag on the line. Every time I realised what it was, I just cut off and blocked the number. The number's from Ipswich - 01473 792952 - and it's clearly some phishing or spoofing trick. I spotted it on my BT landline on 8th Jan 2022 and already reported it to BT’s scams dept.

As soon as I picked up the phone, the caller immediately disconnected. It raises my suspicions that it could be a scammer or fraudster intent on breaching my phone's security. Why bother making the call only to hang up? Upon investigating, I found out that the number traces back to Ireland, which certainly adds an ominous twist. It’s baffling why they’d go to the trouble of routing the call through a local number only to shirk responsibility by cutting the line.

I got a call from a woman who had an American accent, chatting about ‘home insulation’. I told her we’re all good with insulation, cheers. She snapped back with ‘don’t talk over me’. I couldn’t help myself and asked, ‘how do folks like you sleep at night, trying to con others?’ She then mentioned she was calling from the Philippines and quickly ended the call on me!
