I had an unexpected phone call informing me that my Amazon Prime membership, apparently set at £32 monthly, was on the verge of expiring. The message instructed me to press 1 to be connected with a representative. When I did, the person who answered spoke with an Asian accent and attempted to convince me to continue my subscription. I let her know that I intended to report the call to the authorities, and just like that, she hung up. It’s worth mentioning that I’ve never actually subscribed to Amazon Prime in the first place.
