Occasional ringing from this number. It started out as a nuisance regarding dodgy mortgage deals, but now it just disconnects shortly after we answer. The caller seems to ignore any refusals. Another message raised alarm bells about our "credit falling" - possibly from a mobile? We thought such practices were illegal and could be blocked now. Initially thought to be coming from Essex, but it’s anyone’s guess; could easily be coming from Nigeria or Samoa these days.

I just had a call about an hour back, where they were asking about some credit card fees we believe are unjust. We informed them that we don’t even possess a credit card, and then they abruptly hung up on us. It’s so frustrating to deal with these pointless calls that seem to come out of nowhere!

She insisted that my partner had completed a lifestyle survey and that her information had been shared-a claim I found hard to believe. She mentioned it was part of a government-backed initiative that had been featured on BBC News and that she was perfectly entitled to reach out to me. I firmly requested that she refrain from calling me again. However, since that conversation, I've received four additional calls from the same number, one of which came through on a Saturday morning. Each time I pick up, the caller simply hangs up, and I can hear the sounds of what seems to be a call centre in the background.

Just a quick update: after enduring weeks of incessant silent calls, I finally decided to answer the phone. To my surprise, it was a chap from a company wanting to speak with my wife. When we inquired if the firm was based in Ipswich, he confirmed it was indeed the case. He introduced himself as Louis. Quite the saga, I must say!

I got a call too, and the moment I answered, they just hung up on me - probably expecting to trick some older person who might be easier prey.

Even if it seems tempting, don’t bother dealing with these callers. Chances are, the firms they're linked to will go bust anyway, and if you've paid them, your cash is likely just lost.

The government’s complete inaction on enforcing the TPS really makes you wonder if the previous Labour lot were any worse.

Personally, I reckon it’s time to think beyond the usual three parties and vote differently, just to shake things up and remind these clowns who they actually work for.

Keep getting these random calls. Started out sounding like some mortgage scam, but now they just hang up as soon as I answer. They don’t take kindly to me saying no at all. The last time they mentioned something about my “credit dropping” like on my phone - isn’t that supposed to be illegal or something now? Got a call asking for my missus, claiming she might have been sold a dodgy mortgage endowment. The guy said she could claim some money back. I tried to find out where he was getting this from and said "I don't reckon so". He then retorted with "Well, maybe you should check". I told him, "Look, she’s my wife, I’m just checking before I mention it to her." Proper rude and cocky bloke. Told him off and ended the call. Absolutely terrible.
