I received a rather confrontational call from a chap with an Asian accent, who insisted on discussing my ‘landline number’. His volume escalated quite alarmingly, so I decided it was best to cut the conversation short and hang up.

I was anticipating a ring from a business, so I picked up this call. At first, there was just silence, and then a voice with an accent came through, asking for me by name. I promptly hung up. I've decided I'm not going to engage with this number or any others like it again. Normally, I don't pick up calls from unknown numbers. They tend to be quite relentless in trying to get through, but they generally relent eventually.
