I received a call from a rather young woman who referred to me by my first name instead of Mr, which immediately struck me as rather unprofessional. She claimed to be located in Ashford, however, the caller ID indicated that the number was from Ipswich. After a tedious exchange of pleasantries, I prompted her to get to the point. She then posed a rather ambiguous question about a phone. When I pointed out that she was apparently promoting a phone service, she outright denied it. Strangely enough, she mentioned they could help us save a whopping 56% on our phone, which left me a bit puzzled - isn't that a phone service after all? I reiterated my stance, insisting she was indeed selling something, to which she maintained her position of not selling anything at all. I eventually ended the call. It felt like she was overly self-assured given her obviously limited knowledge.

This appears to be yet another fraudulent scheme concocted by someone passing themselves off as Alex. Quite suspicious, I’d say!

I received a phone call from a chap named Alex, who claimed to be seeking James. When I inquired about the purpose of the call, he stated he was merely returning James' missed call and intended to ring him on his mobile. I mentioned that I manage this phone during working hours. He then suggested he would attempt to reach him at a later stage. However, when I pressed for more details on the matter, he became remarkably rude. I further questioned which company he represented, and he just chuckled before abruptly hanging up. I’ve since tried to return the call, but the line seems to be perpetually engaged.

This number keeps ringing but never bothers to leave a message, which makes me think it might be a telemarketer or possibly a scam.
