I just answered a call from this number and some bloke said he was an 'Efficiency Advisor'. When I asked what the heck an 'Efficiency Advisor' even does, he just ended the call. Pretty clear there’s not much going on upstairs with him. Honestly, we could do with a new category for numbers like this, maybe call it 'Having a bit of a delusion'.

Got a call from this Ipswich number on 30th April 2018, but when I picked up, nothing - just silence. Was quite shocked to see 1471 matched this number. It's really troublesome for my elderly family members to get up for calls, especially if it turns out to be silent or spam. Someone really needs to look into this Ipswich contact.

This number has been ringing me loads lately. Since GDPR is now a thing, you can lodge a formal complaint with the ICO, and if the firm keeps misusing your details, they could be hit with a fine of up to 4% of their yearly earnings. The weird part is, you can’t call this number back. Does anyone know which company it belongs to and have a number that actually works?

This number just gave me a ring asking if I needed insulation done, said it hadn't been done for like 20 or 25 years. I was like, oh wow, didn't realise that! Then I said the house hasn’t been standing for that long. They wanted to know how long it had been, but I didn’t want to say. Told them if their records say it’s been that long then their info must be wrong and just hung up.

He had the nerve to claim my info ‘popped up on his system’ and went on about how the insulation at my place [gave postcode] hadn’t been updated in 20 years or something. Told him straight up he had zero right to ring me and to scrub my number from his list. But I doubt he cared, what a rude pest. If they want to earn an honest quid, they should get a real job instead of pestering folks out of the blue. Cold-calling like that should be banned immediately!

I got a call from someone who sounded like they were trying to imitate an elderly lady and asked for me by my first name. Then a bloke in the background straightened them out, and they just hung up afterwards.

Phoned my 88-year-old mum earlier and asked if she owned her home and more worryingly if she lived on her own? Sadly she said yes to both. The woman on the phone seemed quite polite and said it was some council program about loft insulation.

Some bloke phoned me saying I needed to boost my roof insulation. I've got 12 inches of fibreglass up there, way above what's advised. I told him I'm on the TPS and to stop calling. Got a call from someone claiming to be an ‘energy advisor’. When I asked who they were, she gave me a name. I asked if they checked the TPS and she said if I gave her my reference number, she could take me off their list. I told her I didn’t need a reference number, just to remove me on request, but she replied, “actually you do, sir,” and then just hung up. When I tried to ring back, the number showed as ‘invalid number’.
