This chap contacted me claiming there was an issue with my computer. He became rather aggressive, mentioned my home address, and ominously stated that he’d be at my door within an hour. Quite the peculiar character, to say the least. I couldn’t fathom how he came by my number in the first place!

Got loads of calls off this number, 01473 is Ipswich which is where me family are, so I’d usually pick up, but as soon as I do the phone just cuts out.

This particular number has been incessantly ringing me up-six times, to be precise-and the inquiries they’re making are rather peculiar. For instance, they wanted to know if I'm related to Akshay Kumar, you know, the well-known Indian actor! Quite bizarre, if you ask me.

The guy said he was from Windows, wanted me to check my computer and see what I’ve been browsing. I told him it was a scam and asked how he figured that out. Got a call from this number claiming there’s an issue with my computer. When I asked which computer they meant, she said ‘the one you’re looking at’. I was driving at the time so said, ‘I’m actually looking at my SAT NAV, does that count as a computer?’ No more calls after that lol.

Got a call from some Indian bloke sayin there’s dangerous stuff on my computer - didn’t even own one! Told him it was probably the dodgy videos I downloaded, then when I asked if he’s made any himself he just suddenly dropped the call! :( Spent like half an hour wasting his time. Folks, keep ‘em chatting, the more they yap to you, the less time they got to scam others :)

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming my computer was acting up. I told her I know these are dodgy scam calls anyway. She just started making weird sounds before hanging up. Pretty much sums it up!

He said I needed to bring my computer to the nearest tech support centre. I was 99% certain it was a scam, so I asked him to show some proof. Then he just went on about "Why you bein so dumb?". Honestly, I reckon scam artists are getting worse at their job, which is kinda a relief.

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from Windows, saying my home computer had been showing error messages recently. She asked me to turn on my computer so she could help me fix it. I told her I don't even own a computer. She asked again if I didn't have one and then hung up. About half an hour later, the same woman rang but with a different name, so I just ended the call.

Had a bit of a laugh messing about with these muppets who are just plain scammers. I kept the bloke hanging on the line, pretending my computer was starting up. After a spell, I asked him what he planned to do with my old Sinclair ZX Spectrum. He clearly didn’t get the gag, so I just told him to sort himself out, get some proper qualifications and a real job, then banged the phone down before he could say owt. For anyone fed up with these tossers, I say have a bit of fun and waste their time back - it’s bloody satisfying!

Got a call from 0147303300 on my phone. Normally I avoid picking up numbers I don’t recognise, but since 01473 sounded like a local code I decided to answer. Heard nothing but silence when I picked up, so I quickly ended the call. After seeing what people say here, I won’t be picking up if they call again!

They never said who they were, just told me to switch on my computer because of some virus problem when opening my browser (the PC actually belongs to a mate who works in IT, so I’m pretty sure he’d spot any major issue by now).
