He presented himself as a representative from an energy consultancy, but I can’t shake the feeling that he was actually a phishing scammer aiming to harvest personal details. He sought information like my address and whether I owned my home, which struck me as rather suspicious. To top it off, he already had my complete name and postcode, which made the whole interaction feel even dodgier.

Got a call from someone saying they were with an Energy Consulting firm. They seemed to have some of my details, like my name and postcode, which was a bit off. They started asking about my address, whether I owned the house, that sort of thing. Then they brought up solar panels - we’ve got a couple sets installed - and mentioned grants too. When I told them I was over 80, they just hung up on me straight away! Didn’t really trust this number, but thought it might be legit since it looked a lot like a number we've had from Grimsby before. Feels a bit dodgy, could be a scam.
