I received a rather peculiar call today from the number 01472886446. When my husband picked up and introduced himself, the caller promptly ended the conversation. Just two hours prior, I had answered another call from 01509735689. The individual on the other end, who had a strong Indian accent, seemed rather eager to assist me with an internet issue. I acknowledged that we had experienced a few hiccups but reassured him that everything was functioning well now. However, he insisted I assist him in verifying the line. I politely declined, citing a lack of available time, and requested that he contact me at a more convenient moment. It’s fortunate my earlier experience working for the GPO, as it was called in those days, has equipped me to handle such nuisances. Honestly, it’s appalling how these dodgy characters operate; they deserve a far harsher consequence!
