Got a call from someone called Megan claiming to be with the St Andrews Trust. She wanted me to support them by buying raffle tickets. Sounded legit enough.

At first I figured this call was dodgy, so I ended up phoning the hospice directly to let them know someone was pretending to be them. They said it’s a third party working for them. Honestly, I find it quite distasteful, this tactic of fundraising - wouldn’t it be much better if they didn’t waste money on buying lists and put that cash to more important use?

I got a couple of missed calls earlier, but when I picked up, something felt off. They kept asking me how I was familiar with St Andrews Hospice - anyone from round here would definitely know about it! Then they started pushing for donations, which didn’t sit well with me. No clue where they got my details from, so I just blocked the number.
