Over the past week, I've received this same call quite a few times. The first few occasions, it was a man speaking with an English accent in a very gloomy, almost eerie tone. But today, it was a woman speaking in an American accent. The message claimed it was from BT, warning that my internet and phone contract would be cancelled today, and then they asked me to press 1 and so on. I hung up immediately. When I tried calling that number back, I got a message saying the number isn’t recognised.
