1 yearGot a call from a bloke using a Grimsby number, looks like the same scammer again. He’d be a right risk if he wasn’t so daft.Grimsby1 yearI told the person on the phone that I was the “legal rep” for the individual he was trying to con, and that I handle all their affairs (hope that’s not too muddled). He got demanding, asking why I was even using that number. He was really impolite, obnoxious and completely clueless. I just kept him hanging, causing him to rack up charges - assuming he actually pays anything - then once I’d had enough, I ended the call and slapped a block on his number.1 yearJust got a call from this number asking for my husband, who apparently got tricked by these lot. They tried the usual story about his computer being in danger unless he handed over cash. Sadly, my husband passed away, but I saw straight through their scam and made it clear to them where to go. Watch out for this number, it’s a con!2 yearsThis was definitely a scam. The bloke kept ringing me, saying he was from Global support, and apparently I bought some sort of firewall protection for my Hotmail ages ago, which is just daft. I just put the phone down but he didn’t stop calling, so I had to block the number in the end. One time they told me to ring back on 08000318428, but that number’s been reported as dodgy too. Avoid this lot!2 yearsThis number’s a scam, best not to pick up.2 yearsKept getting calls all day from this number, with some bloke saying he was from Global Support or something like that. He told me I was gonna be charged for a firewall subscription that apparently renews itself every year, and I took it out years ago, like five years back or so. He insisted I had to let him access my computer right then and there to cancel it. When I asked if he could just give me instructions to do it on my own later, he said no way, I had to have the computer open while he was still on the line. Felt a bit dodgy to me.2 yearsTried ringing my home phone but it’s set not to ring and won’t let anyone leave a voicemail. I’m definitely adding that number to my block list. Then they tried on my mobile phone, but once again, my settings stop the call. Luckily, 02 sends me a text saying who called so I can mark it as spam!O28 yearsMate, I never dialled you first, you're the one who's lying here.10 yearsThis is my third time getting a call in just one day, and when I told them I wasn’t interested, they still kept pushing back. Proper annoying!10 yearsEvery few days, they ring me up again and again. I usually just let it ring on the sofa and leave it for like 10 minutes. No matter what I do, they keep coming back. Managed to report it to the TPS today at least.TPS10 yearsToday, on 2/6/2016, I got a call from this number. It popped up as an international one on my caller ID, which I’m grateful for because I have caller display. I didn’t pick up and luckily, they didn’t leave any voicemail!10 yearsSome bloke who can't even speak proper English keeps ringin' me up. Thinks he'll wear me down or something? Not a chance, mate!10 yearsMy phone shows this number as coming from overseas, even though it’s saved in my contacts. Feels like it’s probably a scam to me.10 yearsThey kept trying to sell me stuff, but I couldn't make out a single word they said.10 yearsthe guy spoke awful english but he somehow had my old mum's name and where she lives. he asked for more private info which seemed really dodgy. i didnt cut him off, just put the phone down in the kitchen and went off somewhere else. definitely felt like a scam.10 yearsThis person was quite impolite and didn’t seem to speak English well. I’m worried my kids might pick up since they were asking for private details, which seems a bit risky.10 yearsAn individual with an Indian accent reached out to solicit our thoughts on a particular matter, but I struggled to understand him and eventually had to end the call. He’s probably trying to sell something.Submit Your Own Report (01472 583690)
