Claimed to be reaching out on behalf of Vodafone about my service agreement. They informed me that my contract was set to run out in a couple of months and tried to tempt me into renewing it. Out of caution, I decided to ring up Vodafone directly to verify the number. Lo and behold, they assured me that the caller was nothing but a fraudster. This number has definitely been linked to dodgy dealings, and it's certainly not an official Vodafone line.

Today I got a call from a bloke saying he was from Vodafone about my contract finishing in a couple of months. The number showed up with a Grimsby area code, so I asked him where he was actually calling from. He said Hull but couldn't explain why the number was Grimsby then. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

The caller said they were from Vodafone. I rang Vodafone myself and they told me that number doesn't belong to them.
