Got a call from this number but couldn’t make out a word she was saying. Definitely didn’t want the call.

I got a ring from this number the other day. The person on the end kept saying someone was sneaking onto my password-protected internet and claimed it was some kind of security check to boost my protection. They never asked me any questions to prove who they were. Then they asked me to download an app called 'quick support' from the play store, which I found out is actually TeamViewer quick support. I’m familiar with TeamViewer - it lets someone else remotely access any device it’s connected to. It’s handy in some cases but can easily be used for shady stuff. The moment I said I wasn’t gonna install TeamViewer, they just dropped the whole thing and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media, saying they were testing my internet speed. Since I actually use Virgin, I went along with it and said sure. Then they just cut the call. I later phoned Virgin Media myself and they told me it definitely wasn’t their call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my internet company, but when I asked which one, they couldn’t say! They were asking for passwords and stuff - total spam. The person spoke with a strong foreign accent and was really difficult to understand. I just hung up on them.
