I received a call from this number earlier, but I couldn't quite make out what the woman was trying to convey. It seemed rather unnecessary.

I received a call from this number earlier, and the caller informed me that my internet was being accessed by others and that it was a security call aimed at beefing up my online safety. Strangely enough, they didn’t ask any questions to verify my identity at all. They urged me to download ‘Quick Support’ from the Play Store, which I later discovered is actually TeamViewer Quick Support. I’m quite familiar with TeamViewer; it allows someone remote access to any device linked to it. While the application has legitimate uses, it can certainly be exploited. As soon as I mentioned that I wouldn’t be installing TeamViewer, the caller abruptly ended the conversation.

A chap called me claiming to be from Virgin Media, wanting to verify my broadband speed. Since I’m indeed a Virgin customer, I thought, “Why not?” and agreed to go ahead. However, out of the blue, he just cut the call. I decided to get in touch with Virgin Media myself, only to discover they had no idea who he was or that any such call was made.

Received a call claiming to be from my internet service provider, yet they failed to disclose the name of the company! They were asking for passwords and other sensitive information-definitely a scam! Their accent made it quite tricky to follow the conversation, so I ended up hanging up on them.

I received a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, stating that my IP address had been breached. When I probed further for details, the individual abruptly ended the conversation. Very suspicious!

Had a rather noisy line, but not a soul on the other end. It felt like I was connected to a call centre overseas. Thought it best to hang up.
