Got a missed call from this number yesterday, it said Isle of Skye on the caller ID. I'm from Scotland, but I don’t know anyone out that way. So yeah, straight to my ignore list it goes.

Pretty sure this call’s coming from Bangladesh. They convinced me to cough up £49 for some rubbish about protecting my PC from viruses. I’ve already switched my credit card, but they just won’t stop calling. Does anyone know how I can block them?

I never actually get a ring from this number, but my phone shows a missed call alert from it about a minute before, thanks to a text from O2. It’s odd because there’s no actual call coming through. I haven't got a clue what they want, but this way of phantom missed calls seems like it’d make blocking spam a bit trickier. Either way, I just give it a miss.

It keeps calling me but I don’t pick up since the caller ID shows Isle of Skye and I’ve got nobody I know over there. So I just ignore it.

This person said they were calling from the BBC but it felt a bit dodgy to me. Not sure if they were legit or just trying to scam me. Definitely made me a bit suspicious though.
