Someone rang me from 01471245180 and left a voicemail claiming to be Ofcom. They said my internet had been hacked or something and asked me to press 1 to reach BT and press 2 for something else. Definitely not a legit Ofcom number, felt dodgy to me.

The number shows up as being from the Isle of Skye, and some reckon it could be Paul Mccartney, but I’m not convinced. I just let it go to voicemail and then quickly cut off the call.

got a call saying “this is ofcom, your internet provider has found a problem with your broadband, press 1 for BT, press 2.” i just hung up straight away, there’s no way ofcom would ring and say things like that. totally a scam.
