Some guy with a really thick Indian accent rang me, saying he was from BT in London. He told me my computer was infected with a virus and that he had to fix it. I told him to wait a moment, then after about half a minute I said I hacked into his system and if he didn’t pay up, I’d take his whole business down. He said that couldn’t happen, but I reminded him that he was the one who kicked things off. Then he swore at me and just hung up.

Got a call from 01468783579 about 3 this afternoon, some Asian bloke offering to fix my computer. I told him nicely I wasn’t having any issues and wasn’t going to use my PC with him. Next thing he calls me a bunch of nasty names and just hangs up. I really hope there's a way to block these idiots from phoning!

Got a call from a lady with an accent, said she was from BT Openreach. She told me the broadband channel had changed and offered to help me reset my computer to get better internet (which had been acting up lately). When she asked if I was at the computer and said she'd guide me through fixing it, I just hung up. After reading some other reviews here, I’m really glad I didn’t carry on. Usually I’m wary of calls like this but since the number looked like a UK one and I was genuinely having issues, I was a bit torn.

When these jokers called me the first time, I had a feeling it was dodgy, so I ignored it and looked up the number here instead. Then they called again not long after, maybe an hour later. This time I picked up, waited for someone to start talking, and then let out a massive lion roar right into the phone, as loud as I could muster, and ended the call straight away. Proper glad I've got caller ID for stuff like this. Left me feeling pretty pleased!

Got a call from this number on a really dodgy line. The person claimed they were from BT but it was obvious a phishing scam. They started going on about my computer running slow and wanted me to do a screen share so they could get into my PC. Absolute rubbish! Don’t fall for this, just hang up and don’t engage with them.

Got a call at about 3.15 this afternoon from some bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT. I said I use a different company and he hung up straight away. Definitely seems like a scam. The number started with 01468, which looks like it might be a UK code, but I can’t find any info showing that it actually exists. Honestly, why aren’t these types of numbers blocked as soon as they’re known to be scammers? It would save a lot of hassle.
