I received a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon, insisting that I'd signed up for two subscriptions, and that I would soon receive a nine-digit code to confirm this. Oddly enough, the number had a connection to a decorator in Scotland! When I mentioned that I wouldn't be providing any codes from an unfamiliar number, they abruptly ended the call. The caller seemed to be in a bustling office environment and had an Indian accent.
