I’ve had enough with the PPI calls, total waste of time - straight to blocked from now on.

I got a call from a firm pitching PPI insurance claims. I explained that my number's on the telephone preference service (TPS) list, so they shouldn't be ringing me. The woman, Monica, insisted she had to check my info before they could take me off their list. She claimed my number wasn’t registered with TPS, which is totally untrue. When I warned her I'd report the call as annoying, she just cut me off.
