They rang me in the middle of the night (I was actually in China at the time) and when I got back, I saw two voicemail messages on my answering machine, just like others have said - something about my internet being about to be disconnected!

Some bloke told me there’s a legal case against me and asked me to call back that number (it was a recorded message). I just hung up straight away.

That robotic voice was a dead giveaway. They said they were from British Telecom, warning my internet would get cut off if I didn't hit 'button one'. As if!

Just got a call from this number, some woman with a foreign accent saying she was from Windows internet security or something. Told her off and blocked straight away. Total scam!

Got a call from a woman saying I’d been in an accident and could file a claim. I’m with Three as well and they told me there’s nothing to be done. I’ve put my number on the TPS list but these calls won’t stop!

Somebody rang me saying they was from a firm called call blocker. They already had all my info - name, home number, address, even knew I pay my bills by direct debit and had the expiry date of my bank card! Then they asked me to confirm my card number and the 3-digit code so they could stop annoying calls. I knew it was dodgy, so I asked for their address and they gave me a fake one in London while I was googling them live on the phone. Be careful with these sorts of calls, theyre really dangerous!

Some woman called saying she was Jodie from BT about my internet. I told her I don’t even have internet and she just hung up on me. I checked the number with 1471 and it’s legit, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a robocall claiming to be my internet company warning me I’d be disconnected if I didn’t do something. Hung up straight away and blocked the caller. Tried checking the number using 1471 and it showed a different one, 01283 874185. But when I blocked the call, the blocked ID showed 01466 instead, so seems like they’re linked somehow? Strange setup.

My phone and my whole handbag were nicked the night before, but luckily someone found my phone and gave it back to me. I got a bit suspicious it might be some kind of scam, so I rang Three, but they had no clue about it.
