Just got a call from a woman overseas claiming to be from O2, offering 40% off my next bills. Played along and asked if it covered both airtime and phone contract, and she said yes (I only have airtime, no contract!). Then she said they'd send an anti-fraud text and another with a six-digit code for me to give back. I told her I was in an area with no signal so texts wouldn’t come through for hours. But then I got two texts from "O2 UK" (there was a space, unlike the real "O2UK"), which at first looked legit. Reported it to O2 and blocked the number.

Got a call from what looked like a Scottish landline. There was that typical awkward pause before anyone spoke, which made me a bit suspicious.
