I got a call from an Indian guy claiming he was from some investment firm. He asked if the email they had listed for me was right - annoying because it actually was. When I asked how they even got my details since I’m pretty careful about sharing them, he just ended the call.

I got a call from a woman who had a faint Asian accent but used a pretty generic English name. She claimed to be from this verification team at Global Services and started asking if I'd ever had any loans or credit cards from a bank way back in the 80s or something - didn't catch the exact year since I kept cutting her off to ask questions. Anyway, when she just went on without really answering me, I eventually hung up and let the phone ring for a bit just to see if she’d keep going. After a couple minutes of silence, I figured she’d given up.

There was this pause then a bloke with an Indian accent yelled out my first name. He claimed he was calling from Global Systems, asking if I’d ever taken out any loans or credit cards from 1980 to 2006. Honestly, I just told him thanks and ended the call straight away!
