These guys are just doing their job for BT and EE, nothing dodgy about it. I've actually bought stuff from them and found them really polite and helpful. So honestly, just let them do their thing and stop being rude. It’s not like they’re cold calling if you’re already with that company.

Absolutely, good to be cautious. There’s a new BT telesales team that began working out of Hitchin earlier this year - seen their address posted around 08/01. Like others have mentioned, this is a firm acting for BT. They rang me once claiming there was a discount on BT Sport, and now they’ve called again saying one of my BT services is about to expire. That might be true, but I’m not willing to share any details since I didn’t ask for the call. If BT need to contact me, they can just send an email or a letter instead.

From what others have said, it looks like this was a cold call from BT sales team. They mentioned our contract renewal but couldn’t even get our name right. We told them we'd hang up if they didn't confirm our details first.

I got a call from a nice lady claiming she was from BT, asking if I wanted to upgrade my contract. I told her I already did that last October and was happy with what I have now. She seemed legit enough, but I said I had guests over and asked if she could call again some other time. After seeing what others have said here, I went ahead and blocked the number. It wasn’t pushy or anything, just I’m not really a fan of sales calls in general.

I've been getting loads of calls that just won't quit. Not sure if they're from B.T. partners or some scam, but it's nonstop and really annoying. If they've got anything worth sharing, why don't they just leave a message? This constant ringing is pure harassment.

why bother leaving a voicemail these days? it’s all voip now, and system x is getting scrapped. i just chuck those phones out - mostly it’s just bt telesales calling, same as sky, virgin, talk talk, all cold calling nonstop. if it annoys you, just hang up or block the number 1572, it’s easy enough. if you actually want to contact bt, there’s loads of 0800 numbers posted below if you care to take a look!!!

A telesales firm hired by BT has recently begun operating in Hitchin around the start of the year, their name and address went up on 08/01. If you're not happy with their calls, just block 1572, it’s pretty simple, or just end the call. If you want to reach BT directly, there’s loads of freephone numbers you can ring, like 08001696199 and others. It's not a scam, just salespeople trying to offer you BT stuff like TV, broadband and mobile plans.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT about our broadband. I just hung up and blocked them straight away. These annoying calls are really getting on my nerves - I wish there was something to stop all these scammy calls from overseas. It’s shocking how this is still happening. Thankfully, my kids have taught me how to spot these dodgy calls, because I reckon plenty of older people would fall for it easily.

Got a call from a strange number in some random area, so I just blocked it straight away.

I got a recorded call saying my BT phone line was being used without permission, but the message sounded really dodgy, so I didn't trust it was actually from BT. Normally, I don't give out my landline number and haven’t had any spam calls for about six years. That all changed a couple of months back when I switched to BT for my internet. Lately, I've also had a call from someone claiming to be BT, but they were speaking really broken English and their message about an issue with my broadband was all over the place.

I got a call from a new number, 01462 559550, turns out it’s from a new BT partner doing telesales. They’re promoting BT broadband, mobile plans, and BT TV. They’ve only just started this year. If you wanna get in touch with StepChange18 at the market place in Hitchin, Herts, SG5 1DS, their main line is 01462 528012. Looks like BT’s hired these partners to handle all their sales calls now.

I keep getting calls from this number at all sorts of times. The one time I actually picked up, it was just some automated voice thanking me for calling or something. Super frustrating! Probably some sort of marketing spam, I reckon.
