Got a call from some bloke with a thick accent pretending to be from TalkTalk, saying my mum's computer was getting hacked whenever she did online banking. Complete rubbish, I rang TalkTalk myself to check and it’s obviously a con. Best thing is to just hang up straight away.

My mum got a call from someone claiming they could block unwanted calls and wanted her debit card number. Mum has dementia and actually began telling them the digits but luckily realised something was off and ended the call. They even had the nerve to ask her how old she was! I rang her bank straight away, got her card cancelled just to be safe, and gave them the scammer’s number so the fraud team could look into it.

bt call protect stopped this number from ringing through and it made me curious to find out who it was. after reading all the comments here, i'm really happy bt kept me safe from whatever this call was --)

My mother had a call of a similar nature on the 3rd of November in 2017. They were pretending to help her halt those pesky nuisance calls! Then they had the audacity to request her credit card information. Although she's in her seventies, her wits are still very much intact... she certainly didn't hold back in telling them where to shove it!

this guy rang me saying he was from some nuisance call prevention team, claiming i’d been getting loads of nuisance calls (which was true). he then said he’d noticed i pay my phone bills with visa cards and wanted to double check my details. i told him i wasn’t giving out any info, but he reckoned he already had everything in front of him. so i just said, if you have it, no need to ask me and hung up. sounded legit at first but was obviously a scam, so watch out folks!

I answered but there was nobody there and then the call just ended.

Couldn’t tell who was ringing, as no one said anything or replied when I picked up. So, I just ended the call. From what I’ve read in other responses, they claim to be from Camden but the number actually has a Hitchin area code, which isn’t even from London. Bit confusing!

I received a call from this number at precisely 10:26 AM today. They were after the expiration date of my Visa card and were keen on enrolling me in some sort of service to block unwanted calls. How ridiculous!

This morning, the 2nd of November, my elderly folks received a call from this number. Thankfully, since there weren't any other interruptions, I was able to add it to their BT blacklist. What a bunch of muppets! 😡😠

Got a call from some bloke with an accent, said he was from ‘call prevention services’ out of Camden, London. He was asking how many spam calls I usually get, saying they could help cut them down. I just told him he was actually one of those annoying calls. Still, he was quite polite about it.
