Got a call on my landline from a bloke with an Asian accent, saying he was ringing from BT about some issue with my internet. He claimed to be calling from their HQ down in Newgate, EC2. When I asked for his phone number, he told me I could just Google it. I pressed him for it anyway, and he started giving me a number beginning with 1800... Didn’t sound right, so I questioned it and he just hung up on me. I’ve had this kind of call before, same story about being from BT and based in the City. Looking into it, other folks have flagged this number as dodgy on similar sites!
