He already had my name and address though. I told him I wasn’t about to share that info over the phone and told him I was hanging up before putting the phone down.

Be careful with these so-called telephone preference schemes. They try to make you believe they're the official service that stops unwanted sales calls. This reminded me of other calls I’ve had before, but this time the caller didn’t even try to ask for my bank info (which I def wouldn’t have shared anyway).
