On 24th May around lunch time, i picked up this number but there was total silence on the other end, so i just ended the call and put my phone away.

In just a few hours, I got my seventh call, only 17 minutes since the sixth. It was some Asian guy calling himself Jack, saying he was there to “update my account with the TPS.” He asked if I’d had any dodgy calls lately. Honestly, what a load of rubbish! Since when do you have an account with the TPS? I only just signed up. I really don’t get how this scam is supposed to work. When do they even ask for your card info? And seriously, who in their right mind falls for that?

Got a couple of calls today from someone claiming to be from the telephone preference service. The first was a woman with an Asian accent, said her name was Laurancel. I told her straight up she wasn't part of TPS. Then later, a bloke with a similar accent rang me and he seemed pretty annoyed, couldn’t even say my surname right! I kept telling him he wasn’t with TPS but he just kept going on like he was reading a script. Eventually, I just ended the call.

A guy, who said his name was Adam, rang me saying he was from the TPS and wanted to update my details. When I told him we’ve been on the TPS list for more than 13 years and that he should already have all our info if he was legit, he quickly backed down and admitted he wasn’t actually from TPS. This was the second time that number called me within an hour. I just ended the call and put the phone down.

About half an hour ago, some bloke rang me up pretending he was from the TPS, asking for my bank details and all that. I cut him off straight away. Then he rang two more times! I decided to look the number up online and found out it was dodgy. On the third call, I answered and told him what I discovered. He just brushed it off and kept trying to get my bank info. I just ended the call. Later, I tried ringing the number back and it doesn’t even seem to be real. Total scam.

This number called me again today, missed it the first time. Some guy with an Asian accent claimed he was from Preferences about stopping nuisance calls. He rattled off an address before asking if I pay my phone bill by direct debit. When I said I don’t share bank info with strangers, he ended the call sharpish. Totally feels like a scam, be careful with this one.

Got a call from an Asian lady who didn’t seem too confident with her English. She kept pushing for my debit card info. I asked if she knew about GDPR, but she didn’t say a word. Then I mentioned I’d report her to the TPS and suddenly the call just cut off. Bit fishy, if you ask me!

Some bloke named Bruce called saying he was from the “telephone preference team” or summat. He asked if I’d been getting loads of annoying calls. I’d read about this kinda scam ages ago, so I told him yeah, and even said this call was one of the pesky ones, then told him to stop bothering me and just hung up.

These scammers are the worst kind of people. They try to get your bank info, but if you ever catch them, give them a taste of their own medicine and mess around with them a little - might make their miserable existence a bit more annoying.

About an hour back, I got a call from a guy with an asian accent. I just hung up straight away. Then maybe 20 minutes later the phone rang again but I didn’t answer, I just heard it disconnect on the other side. They’ve phoned me 3 times in the last half hour but I haven’t bothered picking up any of them.

They’ve called me 6 times within a couple of hours but since I didn’t know the number I just ignored it. Maybe next time I’ll pick up and see how long I can keep them hanging.

About 10 mins ago, some bloke rang me claiming to be from telephone preference services. He said my call blocking was ending tomorrow, then somehow mentioned the expiry date of my debit card. After that, he asked if I still used a cheque book. I told him I’m just a pensioner with no cash, and he just hung up on me.

I’ve lost count how many times this number has called me today, must be like ten times or more. Every time I pick up they’re really rude and never actually answer when I try to ask who they are. Even after telling them to stop, they just keep ringing non stop. It’s getting on my nerves big time.

Received a call from someone asking for the expiry date on my debit card, supposedly for telephone preference management. When I told them it wasn’t linked to my phone, they got quite rude. They also said my call blocking service would be stopped starting tomorrow - same scare tactic I got a few weeks back from what sounded like the same firm. When I mentioned the earlier call, they claimed it was a different company altogether and that I hadn't been called before!

I got a call from someone claiming they were from the telephone preference service. I just let them babble on to an empty room for ages. Definitely gotta be careful with these, I treat those calls like they’re unwelcome intruders.
