Got a call claiming to be O2 about switching my SIM to 5G. They had really thick Indian accents that made it hard to follow, and they kept saying ‘upgradation’ instead of ‘upgrade’, which sounded off. Then they put me on hold and passed me to another person to make it seem proper. I ended the call once I was certain it was a scam, didn't share any of my details.

The number showed up as being from Chard, Somerset. I got a bloke on the line with a strong accent who said he was ringing from EE. He told me I might qualify for a £40 reward. There was quite a lot of noise in the background too.

I answered the phone, but all there was, was this repeated message saying "Thanks for calling," again and again...

Some bloke with an Indian accent said he was ringing from Vodafone. The connection was awful and he kept going, "Hello, can you hear me?" And honestly, I swear I could hear his mates in the background shouting the same thing, "Can you hear me?" to other people they were probably scamming.
