Had about 9 calls from this number earlier today, all went straight to voicemail so I just let it go through. I checked afterwards and couldn't find a way to block them since my phone doesn’t have a call block feature. Anyone know how to get rid of these annoying calls?

This number has rung me about four times this morning. The first time I answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end. After that, I just let it go to my voicemail and they hung up each time. Quite odd really.

Somebody rang me saying they were from the telephone preference service and asked for my visa info to "upgrade" the service. Definitely a scam, so don't even pick up the phone!

Those lot calling from a 01248 number didn’t stop yesterday - rung me about a dozen times! Can’t just leave it alone 'cause they keep coming back. Already got three calls today from them. Definitely a scam, so better to just avoid talking to them altogether.

Got a call from a foreign call centre, something about a preference service or whatever. Seemed a bit dodgy, honestly. I didn’t really catch all of it but sounded like one of those scams. Didn’t bother with it.

Just got called by someone pretending to be from TPS, total scammer alert. Don't trust these fake calls at all.

Got a call from what sounded like an Asian call centre, saying they were from telephone preference management, offering a free upgrade to stop nuisance calls from overseas (bit rich, right?). They were basically verifying their scam target list for more cold calls later. When I asked, they denied being in a call centre and said they were based in London - so why the 01458 number then? If you get a call like that, best just to hang up. Not much else you can do. I guess the 10 minutes I wasted messing with them means 10 minutes less they have to annoy someone else.

Someone said they were from TPS but seemed dodgy, so I just ended the call. That number’s blocked now.
