Received a call purporting to be from O2, but they addressed me as "Sir" instead of "Mrs." I've been a loyal customer with O2 for more than two decades, so one would think they’d have my details sorted - including how to address me. I’ve marked it as spam. They just left me hanging when I started to question them.

Someone said they were from Currys Mobile trying to sell me an iPhone deal. When I asked for a manager, they put me through to a guy named Edward Zoy. They said my number was randomly generated, but when I asked if they checked against the TPS, they said yes and that they had my permission to call. I’m definitely going to report this to both TPS and Currys.

Turns out, dodging that call was a stroke of luck! After a quick search online, I discovered that numerous people have flagged this number as a scam.

I've never been to Glastonbury or know anyone there, so when these odd numbers kept calling, I figured I'd check what’s going on. There’s one number ending in 2, and another almost the same but ends in 3 - probably the same lot calling from both. The guy on the line with the second number started pushing me to verify my info, which I refused outright. I told him, if you’ve called me, you should already have it. That made him annoyed, he started swearing, and I just ended the call.

This was a dodgy call from someone trying to rip off businesses by pushing them to advertise in a so-called local magazine. I've already let trading standards know and plan on reporting this to the police too. Definitely a scammer!

I received a call from a chap claiming to be from Currys Mobile, a name I’m unfamiliar with since Currys has joined forces with Carphone Warehouse. He started probing me for information regarding my mobile. When I mentioned I wasn’t keen on sharing anything, he abruptly hung up on me. I can only conclude that this was some sort of dodgy telemarketing attempt.
