my mam’s 75 and keeps getting these dodgy texts about something named “just accounts”. the latest one says it’ll charge £4.50 for 3 messages and tells you to text "stop" to 66299 to cancel, which is obviously a scam. i really wish i knew how they keep getting hold of our number. i’ve reported it loads of times but as far as i can tell, nothing’s ever come of it.

Honestly, this looks like one of those scams trying to trick you into texting stop to 66299 to avoid getting charged. Would watch out for it, jc :)

Heads up! This phone number is linked to a pricey text service from Oxgené that can charge your phone up to £7.50 three times each month. Watch out, it’s dodgy!

Beware, this looks like a scam that rakes in millions through fake texts. The firm mentioned below is the network sending these messages for the scammers! If you spot unexpected monthly fees on your mobile, get in touch with this company straight away. Also, your mobile provider might look into it and potentially sort out a refund. Seems like they’re linked to some discount scheme or somethin’ - got a text from 66299 telling me to send "con" and it turns out it was a pricey premium message, £4.50 a text! Total rip off, honestly.
