This number has been registered with the Preferential Telephone Services for the best part of two decades, which ostensibly means it should remain private. So, in an attempt to keep the conversation going without revealing too much, I adopted a rather clueless persona. I requested her to repeat the company name so I could jot it down, claiming my memory wasn't the best...
