Got a recorded call on my home phone claiming to be from Amazon saying I spent £500 on an iPhone 12. I knew right away it was dodgy since I never bought anything like that. I stayed on the line and got connected to someone live, who wasn’t pleased when I told him I didn’t make the call and that they were actually calling me, which is illegal because I’m signed up to the Telephone Preference Service. The guy turned really rude, so I shouted back as loud as I could and slammed the phone down. These scammers are just terrible people, preying on innocent folks and tricking them. Absolutely disgusting.
