A woman, who introduced herself as Kate, rang me a couple of hours back. She purported to be a technician from BT, insisting she needed to examine our router due to it apparently emitting erroneous signals. She even suggested that someone else could be accessing it. Sensing that this was a clear scam attempt, I promptly decided to block her number!

I tried calling that number but it says it’s not recognised. Maybe check if you got it right and try ringing again.

I got a call from someone named Kate on 01457 779281 saying she wanted to chat about my BT broadband deal at my place, which was odd because we cancelled that service like half a year back. The moment I told her this, she just ended the call. Pretty clear she was just fishing for info.
