I received a rather annoying survey call regarding energy consumption, but it quickly became apparent it was just a sales pitch. They also started questioning me about glazing, which gave me the impression they were trying to push some sort of product. At that point, I decided to end the conversation and hang up.

Just like others have mentioned, they said they weren't cold calling, but then told me I’m one of the biggest energy users in the UK. Well, no sh*t - I’m working from home all the time! So can’t say I’m shocked really.

I got a call about energy, they claimed it wasn’t a cold call but kept saying we’re using way more energy than normal in our area or something like that. Bit confusing and not sure what they wanted really.

Whenever I pick up, there’s complete silence on the other end. Noone says anything at all.

They called me out of nowhere and it was completely pointless, so I've gone ahead and blocked them!

I got a call from someone who sounded really official, saying there was unusually high energy usage around here. They claimed they were doing a survey for energy companies, trying to figure out if it was because of things like lots of people working from home during lockdown. They asked if I owned the place and had questions about stuff like double glazing. Felt like they were either fishing for personal info to sell on or setting up a sales pitch. I told them this was a private number and we don’t take calls like that. As soon as I said that, they abruptly said ‘goodbye’ and hung up.
