Classic case of a PPI con artist at work! They claim I was involved in some sort of mishap... but I've just shut them down.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who told me I’d "been in an accident". When I asked where he got my details from, he just cut the call straight away. I’d say it’s a good idea to report this number to the info commissioner because they have the power to trace the company and slap a fine on them.

Got a call today from what seems like the same scam crew from India. If you put 0121 678 2348 into this site, you’ll see loads about it. The number looks made up, especially with the 678 234 bit and the strange pattern like 456 7777 all lined up. At least they’ve got their counting skills down, if nothing else!

I picked up this number and it took ages before an Indian lady finally started talking, maybe about 5 minutes or so. When I asked her why it took so long to say anything, she just cut me off and ended the call. Quite impolite, if you ask me.

Got a call from a guy who sounded Indian, kept asking about an accident I supposedly had. I could barely hear him 'cause the line was so poor. When I said I don't even drive, he just ended the call straight away.

I got called two times from this number. The first call was from a woman with an Indian accent. When I asked her who she was, she told me I'd been in a car crash and then just dropped the call when I asked for more info. Then about ten mins later, a guy with an Asian accent rang, but he ended the call as soon as I started asking questions too.

They just called me up and right away told me to get lost. Brilliant.

It showed up as spam on my phone, so I didn't even pick up. They just kept calling over and over again. Quite annoying!

Got a call about some dodgy accident insurance deal, seemed totally fishy to me.

the supposed "insurance company" must’ve given them my info. I wanted to know more, but when she kept saying "the insurance company", i told her to take my number off their records. she suddenly got really nasty and snapped, "who do you think you are to tell me that? wait and see what happens." then she just cut the call.

Like the others mentioned, this bloke with an Indian accent rang me up asking about some accident. Funny enough, I’d just been in a crash and was waiting on a call from the other driver’s insurer. When I clocked it was just a scam, I said sorry for taking their time and ended the call.

A bloke speaking with an accent from the Indian subcontinent called me, asking if I’d been involved in a car crash. I told him my number was on the telephone preference service and asked for his company’s name and contact info. He then put me through to a lady with an English accent. I repeated my questions to her and she just ended the call.

I got a call about a car crash, but when I asked them to remove my info, they just got really rude and told me to shut up.

This number has called me four times tonight, hitting both my phone lines at 6pm, 6:05, 6:07, and 6:12. The same Indian guy's voice came through every time, but the connection was awful. He kept asking about any crashes I've been in recently. I told him I haven't had a single accident in the last fifty years and pointed out my number's registered on the TPS list. He hung up after each call.

I got a call from a guy, sounded Indian and said his name was Sam. He started asking me if I'd been in an accident. When I told him no, I hadn't had any accident, he just cut the call right away without another word. Quite strange.

When i picked up, there was nobody on the line so i'm pretty sure it was just one of those robot callers.

Watch out for those scammers pretending there's been a car crash to try and con you!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent asking loads of questions about a car crash I had. I told him repeatedly that cold calling like this is against UK law, but he just wouldn’t listen and carried on pestering me for info about the accident. I’ve told him firmly to never ring me again.
