Received a call today at 11:05 AM from someone inquiring if I was Mrs R___. Having not seen her around for at least 18 years, I found it quite odd. Mrs R_____ was known to be diligent about her affairs, so it's unlikely any crucial updates were overlooked after she relocated. I never receive any of her mail, and everyone in the neighbourhood is well aware she’s long gone; it’s a tight-knit community and they've got my number. Clearly, this was a dodgy call. When I pointed that out, the chap on the other end got quite irate and retorted, “Don’t get cheeky with me!” Without a second thought, I ended the conversation. Later in the day, I dialled back, hoping to regain my composure, and asked the person who picked up what their business was. They claimed to represent "Renewables Scotland," peddling “free surveys to evaluate solar potential.” Sounds like a classic spam caller to me, especially since "Renewables Scotland" doesn’t even appear in a Google search.
